Karen Mobley is a working artist and poet. Her work is represented in Spokane by Art@Work and GoodWorks. Her work is in numerous private and corporate collections. She reads and performs poetry at events through the region.

She has served as the Arts Director City of Spokane (Spokane Arts Commission) since June 1997. She is Co-Chair of the Trustees for Westminster Congregational United Church of Christ. She has been Legislative Affairs Committee Chair and Vice-Chair of the Washington State Arts Alliance. Karen has been active in the Davenport District, the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture Art Committee, Rotary 21 and the Spokane Regional Chamber of Commerce Arts Committee. Karen received the prestigious YWCA of Spokane Woman of Achievement Award in Arts and Culture in 2000. The Spokane Arts Commission received the Addy for Best in Division for Advertising for the Arts in 2001.
